The U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council consists of growers and packers in North and South America who market their blueberries in the United States. In 2001, members of the North American Blueberry Council (NABC), a voluntary organization which for over 40 years has supported the highbush blueberry industry, voted to approve the Blueberry Promotion, Research and Information Order, creating the USHBC. USHBC continues to work on promoting the growth and well-being of the entire industry.
